Kristin Fischer will join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her new position, Fisher will cover everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin is the daughter two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. During that time, she was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election and efforts by two administrations in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. She also was on numerous trips with Vice President and President of the United States, including a top secret trip to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Kristin was a television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter prior to being hired by CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's camera skills has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and their three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
